Gerry has worked at The Kitchen Bar for 30 years, and has worked in Victoria Square from before Victoria Square was even a plan on paper!
The Kitchen Bar was located in the centre of where Victoria Square is today and when Victoria Square was being built, The Kitchen Bar was incorporated into the brand new mixed use development scheme.
What do you do?
I'm a Bartender at The Kitchen Bar which is located just off Victoria Street.
Is this your dream job?
Not quite, my dream job is to manage Chelsea FC.
How long have you worked in Victoria Square?
I have worked in Victoria Square from the beginning! Although I have actually been here for 30 years now!
Have you worked anywhere else?
I have worked in other bars, but none as long as I've been working in The Kitchen Bar!
How has Victoria Square & The Kitchen Bar changed over the last 15 years?
We have seen a huge change here in the last 15 years, the customers have changed, the retail around us has changed, our neighbours have changed - but The Kitchen Bar has been here serving throughout the 15 years!
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I love running. I've done marathons and try to run 5 miles everyday.

What's your favourite drink?
I rarely drink, usually only on occasions, but I would choose a Lager of some sort.
Your favourite item on the food menu?
I'm easily pleased - A ham sandwich.
What's your favourite memory while working at Victoria Square?
This would have to be winning "Bartender of the year" in 2007!
Have you met any celebrities while at work?
Yes - Plenty! Kevin Heart is the most recent visitor!
If The Kitchen Bar could only sell one drink, what would it be?
Guinness.
What's your favourite sport to watch?
Football, Chelsea all the way.
Where is your favourite place to go on holiday?
The west coast of Ireland, love Donegal and Sligo.
What do you see yourself doing in 5 years?
Working here and looking after the (great) Grandchildren!
