Rachel Craig

Saturday 27th July | 1pm

The first words you will hear in Rachel Craig’s voice are “I’m not afraid anymore”. This is the first line of her debut single, “The Ghost of You” and it is a statement of intent, of aspiration, of affirmation.

“The Ghost of You” was released in March 2023 as part of the Scratch My Progress talent development programme. It was recorded and produced by Belfast based

producer George Sloan.

Accompanied by a guitar sound that is steady as a heartbeat, Rachel repeats “I’m not afraid anymore” as if she is trying to convince herself of this. In another of her forthcoming songs she calls herself a liar for this claim.

The truth is that Rachel Craig is terrified but she’s not

letting it get in the way of sharing her music with the world and that is something that

deserves your attention.

George Houston

Saturday 27th July | 3pm

Hailing from the depths of rural Ireland, alternative Donegal singer songwriter George Houston was raised on classic folk, pop and rock from his parents vast collection of cds and vinyl, always encouraged to listen and play freely with instruments, George developed a natural timeless sound, a voice beyond his years and a songwriting style sprinkled with an uninspired nostalgia.

“has some of the most original and promising sounds out of Ireland at the moment.”

Anthony Layde

Sunday 28th July | 1pm

Hailing from a land beyond the veil, folktronica auteur Anthony Layde is carving out a distinct musical identity. Following the release of his debut single ‘God Bless the Dancers’, Layde paints a unique soundscape of ‘primal beats with ethereal, otherworldly vocals’, as put by Hot Press.

After cutting his teeth as a producer in Liverpool, Layde has returned to his hometown of Belfast with a vengeance, drawing upon folk-tale narratives and his childhood as an Irish dancer to fuel the release of his debut EP, ‘Anthony Layde and the Ballycoan Road’.

Niall McDowell

Sunday 28th July | 3pm

Niall McDowell is an alt-country singer/songwriter from Belfast, County Antrim. Their music has been described as "somewhere between a choirboy and a cowboy" by BBC Radio 1 with songs such as 'Brokeback' and 'It Was An Honour To Be Nominated' lauded for their whip-smart writing and vulnerable production.

After an array of sold-out live shows and their involvement in The Oh Yeah Centre in Belfast's 'Scratch My Progress' programme in 2022-23, their newest single 'I Have Given Up' arrived in 2023 and was subsequently shortlisted for 'Single Of The Year' at the NI Music Prize. In Summer 2023, they performed their first international shows in Canada as part of Belfast's first UNESCO City of Music exchange. They are currently recording their debut album.

“‘I Have Given Up’ cements Niall’s status as one of the North’s most accomplished songwriters.” Chordblossom
